Norton Resmi Rilis Superbike V4, Ini Speknya
Setelah lama dinanti, akhirnya pabrikan motor asal Inggris, Norton secara resmi merilis dari superbike anyar mereka, V4 SS dan V4 RR. Keduanya sama-sama mengandalkan mesin V4 1.200 cc berdaya 200 dk.

Meski pun Norton dikenal sebagai pabrikan yang setia mengusung desain klasik, hand built dan pengguna teknologi lawas (termasuk mesin push rod di versi Commando dan Dominator), tapi V4 Series yang dikembangkan dari motor balap SG5 TT ini tak bisa dianggap jadul.
Sebut saja sistem elektronik terkini dengan six-axis inertial measurement unit untuk memberi data yang terintegrasi pada multi-setting traction-control, anti-wheelie dan launch control systems.
Makin lengkap, V4 Series dilengkapi dengan adjustable engine braking, quick-shifter dengan down-shift auto-blipper, riding mode, on-board data logging system hingga cruise control.
Bodi V4 series bisa dipilih dalam dua kelir berbeda. Yakni full karbon hitam, atau berlapis krom layaknya Norton versi motor balap TT.
Perbedaan antara V4 SS dan V4 RR terletak pada penggunaan pelek karbon di V4 SS yang merupakan varian termahal. V4 SS juga dilengkapi dengan suspensi depan Ohlins NIX30 dan sokbreker belakang TTXGP.
Saat ini, V4 SS sebanyak 200 unit yang dijual Rp 725 juta (44.000 Pounds) di Inggris telah terjual habis. Kini hanya tersisa V4 RR yang dilepas Rp 461 juta (28.000 Pounds). Menariknya, Indonesia sudah kebagian kuota dari superbike ini, namun jelas harganya bakal berlipat ganda. (otorider.com)
